Research in this field led to the construction of a prototype of a lower fimb prosthesis fitted out with a microprocessor to control some parameters relative to the movements of the person wearing it and consequently control of a brake that can be used to prevent a possible fall.

New developments concern the use of a new h¡gh integration microprocessor card that enables the control device to be miniaturized and consequently installed on board.
